The Aircraft That Redefined Personal Jet Ownership

Cirrus Aircraft introduced the SF50 Vision Jet in late 2016, and the market responded in a way few predicted. A single-engine, carbon fiber jet with a whole-aircraft parachute system, designed for owner-pilots stepping up from high-performance pistons. It won the Collier Trophy in 2018 and has been the most-delivered business jet every year since. By mid-2025, total deliveries passed 655 aircraft, with the new G3 now entering the fleet.

Most of the SF50 fleet is owner-flown: high-income professionals, business owners, and entrepreneurs who hold SR22 ratings and want a jet that fits in a 40-foot hangar. The Williams FJ33 turbofan burns around 65 gallons per hour at cruise, and operating costs run well below any comparable twin-engine light jet. G2 and later models cruise at 300+ knots and reach FL310.

From a financing standpoint, the Vision Jet is one of the more liquid assets in the light jet market. Consistent delivery pace, a strong owner community, and Cirrus factory support keep residual values stable. The JetStream engine maintenance program removes the largest valuation unknown from any pre-owned transaction. Lenders know this aircraft well.

Popular Cirrus Vision Jet Models We Finance

JetLoan Capital has extensive experience financing the most popular Cirrus Vision Jet models. Below is an overview of the aircraft we most frequently finance.

SF50 G1

The original Vision Jet certified in October 2016. Powered by the Williams FJ33-4A-19, the G1 cruises at 305 KTAS with a 28,000-foot ceiling and 1,210 nm range. Avionics are the Garmin Cirrus Perspective Touch. No Safe Return autoland, WiFi, or autothrottle; those came with later generations. Pre-owned G1s trade between $1.5M and $2.0M depending on hours and condition. Lender appetite is more conservative than later models, with lower LTV and potentially shorter terms.

Typical Range: $1.5M – $3.0M

SF50 G2 / G2+

The G2 raised the ceiling to FL310, added autothrottle, and introduced lithium-ion batteries. Cruise speed hit 311 KTAS on the Garmin G3000 Perspective Touch+ suite. The G2+ added 20% more takeoff thrust, standard Safe Return autoland, and the Cirrus IQ monitoring platform. Pre-owned G2s trade from $2.2M to $2.8M depending on JetStream status. G2+ examples range from $2.5M to $3.2M. The G2+ attracts the broadest lender interest of any SF50 generation, with strong LTV support for both personal and charter transactions. G2 values softened in 2025 as inventory grew, creating solid buying opportunities.

Typical Range: $2.2M – $4M

SF50 G3

Deliveries began early 2026. The G3 redesigned the cabin for six adults and one child, added CPDLC data link communications, Garmin database auto-updates, Cirrus Spectra LED wingtips, and black deicing boots. Engine and ceiling unchanged from the G2+. Priced at approximately $3.68M with options, with a nine-month backlog at time of writing. JetLoan finances new G3 deliveries through its lender network. Contact us early if you have a pending delivery slot.

Typical Range: ~$3.68M+ new
